Thematic seminar ”Balancing Professional and Family Life” : 26.03.2007 Czech Republic

Within the framework of the TCA project Balancing Life in Europe, the 3rd thematic seminar was held in Havlickuv Brod (Czech Republic - Vysočina region) on March 26, 2007 under the name of Balancing Professional and Family Life.

The focus of the seminar was on employment and work-life balance, employer - employee relations, new Labour Code and its challenges, work-life balance surveys in Vysočina region, examples of employee directed benefits and needed child-care services in the region. The seminar also focused on work-life balance trends in European Union with specific examples provided by Swedish and Spanish TCA partners.

This one day international seminar was directly followed by a one day national workshop focused on real-life examples of employers' work-life balance programmes provided to their employees. This workshop held on March 27 was concluded by announcement of results of the pilot regional "Family Friendly Enterprise"Award. At the occasion of the Seminar „Family Friendly Enterprise Award“ will be announced on 27.3.2007. The event is held under the patronage of the Ministry of Industry and Trade CR, Deputy Hetman of the Vysočina Region Ing. M. Černá, and the Mayor of Havlíčkův Brod, Ing. J. Fischerová.
